Day 125, April 8th, 2011

We came in to the office this morning to discover that Randall had in fact spent the night IN the office.  We have never really known where Randall lives.  His address on his CV said, “Parts Unknown”.  We thought that because he was a wrestling fan, and that was merely his homage to George “The Animal” Steele (Randall also had a green tongue and referred to Vanessa as Elizabeth on more than one occasion).   We now believe that Randall is the only white homeless person in Kuala Lumpur.  Oddly, we also believe that Randall is proud of this distinction.

That said, the office was entirely rearranged when we arrived this morning.  The computer was in the bathroom.  While we applaud his innovation as a means to be consistently productive it is rather inappropriate as Randall placed the computer, printer and scanner in the women’s bathroom.  Vanessa is currently unimpressed and has since vocally, rather loudly I might add, vowed to pee in Randall’s wooden shoes at some point in the day.  I will keep you updated.

All three parts of the Lake Toba episode from Sumatra are currently available at all the usual locations (links on Facebook or official site: www.boredofdirectives.com/episodes_sumatra.html).

Next Week we are going to start our STEEL CAGE MATCH: ROLLING STONE TOP 500 SONGS OF ALL TIME SMACKDOWN.  Here’s what’s going down:  I will listen to and evaluate all 500 songs on the list and have each artist from each letter of the alphabet square off.  26 matches in total (A-Z baby!)! So Aerosmith will have to face Abba (and obviously win – I love competitions that are purely subjective), The Velvet Underground will face The Verne.  You get the point.  It will be epic, will take the better part of a year, and it will keep me focused on things other than work (which is awesome).  I haven’t thought about what will happen in round two but that’s for another day.

Stay tuned for LAKE WEEK from the Volcano starting April 11th.  All of these crazy ridiculous endeavors can be found on our official site: www.boredofdirectives.com.  Say hi to Gary while you are there.  He loves that.

You can find:

  • ON THE BEAT AND PATH
  • TITS: Totally Incorrect Travel Show (Drake’s stupid show)
  • My Stand-Up Comedy
  • Windows to the World (Mountain Week & Lake Week: Coming Soon)
  • The World is a Dancer
  • Music from Global Music Sensations, BENCHMARX.

Otherwise, Catch Us Live Somewhere on this Planet.

Peace,
Steve
