That's the TITS! Day 121, April 4th, 2011

Day 121, April 4th, 2011

We are back from a great shoot in Borneo (and..ahem…holiday in the Philippines) where we were able to learn of the headhunters history and meet and spend time with some great local musicians such as Amir Yussof and the members of the local hip hop community.  Patience is necessary, as the Borneo episode is scheduled to be released June 3rd, 2001.  But we trust it will be worth the wait.  Much like Rebecca Black’s new single or Randall’s new haircut.

However, you do not have to wait too long for the release of our episode filmed live in a Volcano in Sumatra, Indonesia.  Throughout April, we will be releasing content from our 5-day shoot on Pulau Samosir; a rural Island situated in the middle of South East Asia’s largest fresh water lake, which also happens to be in a volcano.  The locals, known as the Batak, are a tremendously musical folk and allowed us in to their worlds for a little while.  The first clip, as often, is all about the hunt (or as the Indos would say, “The Carian”), where we meet some interesting people and learn a little about what is to come.

Also, we are excited (well Vanessa is excited) to share with you a new travel series that my twin brother, Drake Von Northcott (whom Vanessa as an unhealthy crush) has been producing with Bored of Directives.   The show is called TITS which stands for the Totally Incorrect Travel Show.

For less than a century, TITS News has prided itself on being a hard-nosed, non-research based reporting medium that educates global citizens on issues of unmentionable impact. Its level of reporting is unparalleled in quality, depth, and knowledge; and is shy of earning a record 50th Alfred I. du Pont-Columbia University Gold Baton Award for outstanding journalism. The core values of TITS News lie in the virtues of steadfast supposition, unrestricted imagination, and steel gut intuition.

Episodes, stories and pictures about global news, technology, arts, entertainment, food, culture, sports, living things, city, economy, and advice can be seen on their official site:

It’s an ok series if you like humour, travel and a twin who is half as smart and not very good looking.  Either way, check out his show.

Gary has been continuing to make your online music experience an enjoyable one.  As such, improvements, additions and adjustments are consistently being made to our site:
